This project is meant to provide the space, environment, spiritual practices, community, and cultural enrichments to distill down to our truest selves and remember who we are and from where we come. Embedded within one of the most culturally and environmentally fertile lands, for three days we will join in collective process through daily practices, rituals, and cultural traditions, in order to become grounded once again. With the vast and potent landscape of Stellenbosch as our bedrock and the wisdom and rites of some of South Africa’s longest standing cultural foundations–Xhosa, Zulu, and Sesotho–as our guides, point of references, and source of enrichment, the environment becomes a supportive and steady reflection of the internal world we yearn to get back to–one of tranquility, wisdom, and solace.
EMBRACING SHAKTI: PRENATAL YOGA RETREAT ZIMBABWE
We lead this retreat in order to empower pregnant people and offer techniques, skills, and space for the pregnant experience. We hope to supply our students with knowledge and tools that they can make use of in their own lives to make their pregnancies more than a medical event. We hope to create a container within which they may be in tune with the innate creative power within themselves and can sense the spiritual connection that is possible through birth and life creation.

This retreat is meant to provide you with practices and tools that will revive your intuition and combat the tension that our modern lifestyles tend to provoke in us. So easy is it to be swept up in routine and, as a result, our connection to our true selves and life purposes silently begins to dim. We believe in the power of intuition as a primordial guide and we will use this time to re-cultivate inspiration and love that will allow us to connect with our inner wisdom. We will be surrounded by the abundance of nature and charged with the powerful energy that Tepoztlán has to offer in this magical location.
